well! well. shi qingxuan seems amused when he speaks, because she recognizes him. he doesn't seem to recognize her, though? which actually gets her thinking - it's not like this is the first time she's encountered someone from her own world at a different time. and she'd thought that the city they were at the outskirts of had seemed a little familiar, but hadn't quite put it together until now.

[ xie lian is clueless to this thought process - he is mostly distracted in his own curiosity, wondering who this woman could be. it wouldn't be surprising for most people to know hua cheng... in the world of the other hua cheng. his, after all, is just 'san lang'. he hasn't even taken on that moniker yet - they've barely even begun working on creating a ghost city, together.
